I was amazed by this couple Michelle and Andy, who never compromise their ambitious nor improvise their living standard regards to the small space of 309 sq. ft. apartment they own in Hong Kong’s central district.
they wanted a american-size kitchen, large bathtub, big home cinema, gym, cat friendly spaces and plenty of storage into such a tiny space. their long-wish list seem unlikely to happen until they found LAAB.
LAAB converted a small space capsule into transformable home. “Form Follows Time” philosophy was introduce to achieve higher flexibility of the space. means the forth dimension element which is time, to allow the space for multi-functional use at different timing.
the craftsmanship was made preciously because there is just 3mm of construction tolerance due to space constraint.
space can be so flexible depending on the purposes needed on particular time.
Underground storage has completely utilize the space.
to have a bathtub in small apartment seems very unlikely but they have it in luxury way.
movie theater setting for a group of friends.
hard to believe they are able to host short stay guests. it looks comfortable though.
cat walk , cat ladder, litter box and food trays designed for their three cats: Banoffee, Dumpling and Tuxedo.
additional, the transformable sink and faucet, kitchen cabinet elevator, pneumatic system, dining table and dresser are made to hide flat to keep the space spacious and neat. also the smart hue lighting system made the house even cool. and also the facilities for the cats is a big surprise. not only Michelle and Andy loves it, cats and i both love it, too!
