the project presents the renovation of an 27 year old residential unit surrounded by tall buildings in Singapore. previously the views and light of the house were erased through the covered windows to prevent overlooking by neighbors. the interior was barely illuminated by natural light. the main objective has been to achieve the maximum use of natural light within the interior. designer Studio Wills strategically introduced internal light sources by artificial lighting through the opening in the ceiling and palette chosen has creating creating illusionary rays of light. the color palette of white and grey was chosen to complement the existing marble floor. designer adorned the surface of materials use with a diagonal pattern that linked the entire interior as one. the linear succession of different proportions associated with real and illusionary. it improves the light and spatial flow that gave the interior a timeless atmosphere.
